SHAWN WILSON
Principal
Shawn has extensive experience in multi-family investing, investment analysis, accounting, property management, asset management and leadership. He has over 15 years of experience investing in multi-family assets with acquiring over 25 successful investments. From this experience he has developed an ability of identifying apartment investments where he can mitigate risk, and maximize reward for investors.
To build his leadership acumen he has taken multiple leadership courses including a PHD level leadership course instructed by Werner Erhard and Michael Jensen, Emeritus at Harvard University. Shawn co-founded the Access To Optimal Leadership (ATOL) Foundation, where he created and held leadership seminars for his fellow college students. He's held multiple other leadership roles, including the CFO of Associated Students with $65 million of yearly revenue at CSU, Chico. During his time at Chico State he created the Investor's Club which instructed students how to successfully invest for themselves, which is still operating today.
Upon graduating with a B.S. in Accounting and Finance, he became a Senior Financial Statement Auditor at KPMG, LLP. At KPMG where he gained valuable insights on assessing risk and auditing financial statements, according to GAAP. Lastly, during his time with KPMG he self started leadership trainings for his fellow employees.
To give back to his community, Shawn teaches youth and beginner golfers the game of golf and coaches real estate investors pro bono.
D. Michal “Mike” Ballard

Mike Ballard is an owner and co-founder of Broadview & Co. Mr. Ballard has extensive financial, managerial and executive experience from his 15-year corporate career as a CFO and CEO of several successful companies. He has been an active real estate investor since 2004 when he first became involved in the purchase, renovation and sale of financially stressed single-family residences. Mr. Ballard then moved on to buy apartment buildings in the southeastern United States and had purchased several apartment communities prior to the formation of Broadview. Since co-founding in Broadview in 2011, Mr. Ballard has been the co-leader of the acquisition of more than 37 multi-family properties, consisting of well over 3,000 combined units. A number of these properties have been sold, with average annual returns well in excess of 20%. The remainder of the multi-family properties continue to operate profitably. During Mr. Ballard’s tenure, Broadview has acquired and now operates over 160 single-family rental properties. Mr. Ballard and some of his deals have been highlighted in the New York Times, Seattle Times, and Forbes.com.

Mike Ballard holds BS degrees in Business Administration/Finance and Communications and a BA in Economics from Central Washington University, as well as an MBA with concentrations in Finance, Economics, and Statistics from The University of Chicago. Prior to and during his undergraduate studies Mr. Ballard was a United States Marine. He is the former Chairman of the Education Fund of North Seattle College, which operates an endowment fund of $7.0 million and provides scholarships for over 250 students annually. He is an avid golfer and guitarist and was awarded a World Championship ring by the Seattle Supersonics for his services to the team in 1979.
Alicia Correia
Accountant
With 15 years of real estate and construction experience Alicia is the bookkeeper of Impactful Acquisitions, Inc. Her extensive knowledge of accounting and business provides us with an exemplary level of record keeping, time management and proven management support. Alicia has used her accounting and business experience in the construction remodels of residential and commercial investment properties, new build custom homes, manufactured modular construction and erecting power plants.
Alicia received her business degree from SJ Delta college, she is also a licensed California Realtor. She is the Vice President of her local Optimist Club, Committee Member of her local Country Club and a Scouting leader. She spends her spare time in the winter snowmobiling at her Sierra Nevada cabin, and in the summer traveling, attending sporting events and playing golf.
